In Office Procedures: Bone Mineral Density Screening

A bone density is a test that is performed in office at Saint Louis Associates in OB/GYN , Inc. This test measures the minerals in your bones. It is useful in diagnosing osteopenia and osteoporosis. This is a non-invasive and pain free test similar to an x-ray.

It is recommended that patients begin having bone density tests once they are post menopausal, whether it is naturally or surgically induced.
