In Office Procedures: IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)

An IUI is a procedure that is used on patients that are experiencing infertility. During this procedure a thin catheter is inserted through the vagina and into the cervix. Attached to the catheter is a syringe filled with sperm. Once inserted properly the catheter will release sperm into the uterus. This increases the amount of sperm that is inserted, and increases the likelihood of conception when combined with a fertility medication protocol.
