Surgical Procedures: Hysterosalpingography

A hysterosalpingography is a procedure that is used to see if there is blockage or growths inside the uterus and fallopian tubes. In this procedure fluid is put inside the uterus and fallopian tubes and an x-ray type machine is used to see if the fluid is blocked in any areas or if the fluid flows out of the tubes.

An HSG is a way to diagnose problems of the uterus and fallopian tubes. (The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, 2006)
